Welcome to Dremio Fundamentals! this course will teach you a basic but valuable skillset to learn how can you start gaining value from your data, faster, using Dremio.

What You Will Learn

In this course, we'll cover what you need to know to get familiar with the Dremio platform. By the time you are completed, you'll be able to:

  • Log in to Dremio
  • Navigate around the Dremio UI
  • Understand how to connect to datasources
  • Differenciate physical and virtual datasets
  • Explore and curate data
  • Analyze data using your favorite BI and Data Science clients
Along the way you'll find short videos paired with opportunities to practice your new skills. We'll also present some brief surveys to make sure the learning content is useful and conveys the information we think you'll find helpful.

Lucio Daza

Lucio has run Technical Marketing at Dremio since 2018 and has played several roles in the data industry for the last 10 years including Technical Support, Product Management and most recently Technical Marketing. Lucio holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science and a Masters Degree in Business Intelligence, both from Louisiana State University. Go Tigers!

Do I need to install Dremio?

You are more than welcome to do a local install of Dremio on your machine, we will guide you through the steps within the Dremio Fundamentals course; if you prefer, we will also provide a hosted environment within the course where you can follow along the class exercises.
